Chubby is getting LEAN!
North Carolina based Chubby's Tacos is in the middle of a multi-store rollout with Performance.

Performance is installing the POSitouch Point-of-Sale product on J2 hardware in all Chubby's locations. Combining this solution with Credit Card and Gift Card processing from Mercury Payment Systems has netted Chubby's Tacos immediate returns on investment.

With the better than expected results, Chubby's is now exploring Performance's other offering including intergrated camera systems with iPhone/Blackberry/Droid apps, web based enterprise reporting, and remote management.

Performance welcomes new employee
Jennifer Rotan joined the Performance team today. Jennifer will be in charge of contract management and will work with the administrative and help desk teams to better serve our maintenance base.

Performance Expands
Performance more than doubled it's space in Greensboro today, adding a new training area and meeting facilities. This addition, combined with added helpdesk, administrative, and executive spaces gives Performance the room it needs to grow. It also will allow Performance to better serve it's clients by offering in house educational offering at the new facilities.

With the new facilities in place, Performance plans on launching a rotating schedule of classes to assist the restaurant operator in growing their business and gaining better control through the use of their systems. Classes will be as little as $100.00 each for maintenance customers. We are excited to be able to offer these opportunities to our client base. Please check back on the website often as a schedule of classes such be posted soon.

Performance welcomes new employee
Jennifer Pietsch joined the Performance team today. Jennifer brings experience in the management of chain based restaurants. Her most recent employment was with Texas Roadhouse. Jennifer will be joining the help desk team and will be involved in day to day support, programming, and training for customers.

Performance Employee of the Year
Jori Skinner has been chosen as Performance Employee of the Year. Jori's hard work and dedication is evident in all that she does. We are excited to be able to recognize such a deserving employee.

Along with a beautiful crystal award to recognize her accomplishments Jori was awarded a trip for two to the Frenchman's Reef in St Thomas, USVI by company President, James Cagle.

Cagle went on to say "Jori exemplifies everything that you could ask for in an employee. I'm not sure where we would be without people like Jori on our team."

POS-x Visit
POS-X www.pos-x.com owner, Dan Moseley, flew in from Bellingham, WA to meet with the Performance team and introduce them to some of the new POS-X line. POS-X is a hardware manufacturer who offers a complete line of products for the hospitality industry. From touch screens to printers, cash drawers, and scanners, POS-X has a product that fits the needs. Performance has two of the POS-X terminals in house for testing, along with kitchen and receipt printers. We are looking at receiving their new hand held for testing within the next six weeks.

After a full day of putting the hardware through its paces we retired to the Village Tavern for dinner and further discussions.

We hope to have a review on the website soon of the POS-X terminal along with pictures and technical specifications.

POSitouch Training Seminar
Performance has scheduled its quarterly training seminar for fourth quarter. The seminar will be held in Raleigh, NC on November 16th and 17th. In depth training will be available on inventory and labor. Performance also has industry professionals scheduled to speak on items such as PCI Compliancy, Hardware Preventative Maintenance, Credit Card cost savings, and many other topics aimed to assist you in putting more money on the bottom line.

POSitouch National Dealer Conference, Providence, RI
Performance attended the POSitouch National Dealer Conference in Providence, RI. Each year POSitouch host the conference bringing together dealers from around the country and internationally. This year the conference relocated to the beautiful Providence Biltmore www.providencebiltmore.com in downtown Providence. Performance had four team members attend this year. (James Cagle, Chris Bele, Nikki Williams, and Karra Pate)

The new format of the conference brought about more opportunity to visit with vendors and discover what offerings they had available for our customers to assist them in growing their business. Solutions from QSR, Shift4, and SnapFinger along with new product enhancements from POSitouch impressed our team. We are excited about the products we are seeing developed for the vertical.

Performance is now looking for clients to test some of the newest products before beginning a systemwide offering to all of our clients.

IBM, MOTOROLA, EPSON in Savannah, GA
Performance Owner, James Cagle, and Account Manager, Chris Bele, attended Scansource's Dive Deep Business Partner Conference in Savannah, GA. The event was two and a half days packed with information from companies that shape our industry. While there were very few new companies entering the market place, what we did see is that our current partners such as IBM, Motorola, and Epson are again pushing the envelope and moving into new areas to help our customers.

While technology was the focus there was much discussion about our marketplace and the economy in general. What we took away from these meetings is that while there is still a ways to go, the economy has bottomed and spending is starting to return. Manufacturers are beginning to produce more product and consumers are buying this product.

The entire Scansource team was very hospitable with functions ranging from an ice bar at the Savannah Westin, to oyster shucking at Bubba Gumps, to a final afternoon of golf at the Troon Savannah course where the team of James Cagle (Performance), Chris Bele (Performance), Karl Schoessler (POS-X Touch Screens), and Lance Canington(Scansource) shot an 8 under par 64. While not winning the golf tournament our team did have one of the most enjoyable rounds of the day.
